These are six fairly well defined seasons. They are mentioned in Genesis 8:22.

1. Seed-Time   -    From the middle of Oct. to the middle of Dec.

2. Winter         -     From the middle of Dec. to the middle of Feb.

3. Cold              -     From the middle of Feb. to the middle of April

4. Harvest       -    From the middle of April to the middle of June

5. Summer      -     From the middle of June to the middle of August

6. Heat           -      From the middle of August to the middle of Oct.

Hebrew months were 29 or 30 days each. Their year consisted of 12 lonar months or of 354 1/4 days. Therefore, about every three years (7 times in 19 years) the 13th month, Veador (also called, Second Adar), is added between Adar and Nisan. It is known as an "intercalary month".
